OK! Finally, here is some music clips for this page. I've been digging through some old archives and found all kinds of interesting stuff. Here's a song I wrote around 20 years ago! No kidding... I can't believe it myself. This song is 20 years old! This version was recorded back in about 1999. I still have the original 20 year old recording that I recorded on a 4-track cassette recorder while floating around on the Indian Ocean while I was in the Navy. It's pretty cool!
So anyway, there will definitely be more music clips coming here soon. Both new stuff and old. The name of this song is "2B". And always remember:
2B is not because you have 2B
2B is not because you're supposed 2B
2B is not because someone else was
2B is because you want 2B
ENJOY!

| OK, here's another oldie but goodie. This is the first song I wrote and recorded after getting out of the Navy, which would make it some time mid year of 1987. That's old... that's scary!! I still love this song, and my son is now performing a newly evolved version of this song with me, which I hope to record soon. The name of the song is "Waiting". The version I do with my son will be named "Waiting No More". I love when life comes full circle! Let's take it around again! | 1-22-06 - OK... My son and I did our first "scratch track" of "Waiting No More". Here it is. He's in the left speaker, I'm in the right. I've got to hand it to my son. For a 15 year old kid, he sure is kicking ass on both guitar and drums! He's very relaxed in the studio too. Way to go buddy! We'll clean this up and add to it as time goes on. | Alright... a couple more "oldies" for you while I'm working on the new stuff. Here's another instrumental. The name of this is "The Legend". I recorded it in 1991 on an old 8-track machine. I'm playing all the guitars, and the rest of the music is drum machines and syntesizers I programmed. I never finished all the guitar parts, but the song still stands pretty good on its own without them. The Legend by Floyd Murray © 1991 - 2005 MurMur Music/ASCAP |
| This song was written in 1987 and recorded on a 4-track cassette Tascam PortaStudio. Admitedly, it reeks of "drum machine". Hey, it was all I had to work with back then! Maybe I'll re-record this someday and bring it up to date. It's called "Gypsy Gray". It's a catchy little tune. Gypsy Gray by Floyd Murray © 1987 - 2005 MurMur Music/ASCAP |

RUSH cover song |
Check this out! Here's a recording of my band in the Navy called "The Exeption" playing the RUSH song, "YYZ" at a gig in Atsugi, Japan, in February of 1983! This is a 3-piece band playing this song. Terry Silverthorne on drums, Jeff Streger on bass (Jeff and I are still friends today and formed a band after we got out of the Navy), and myself on guitar. CLICK HERE for a picture of this band, after we added a keyboard player. |
